Metso's customer services can provide new equipment as well as replacement parts. Some of the unique equipment offered are: kiln discharge, lump breakers, kiln chain systems, air float pneumatic, conveying cystems, and Marconaflo® Slurry Systems. Development of this equipment was prompted by problems encountered in industrial applications. By using each of these products operations are improved.
Kiln discharge end grizzly lump breakers systems:
Because clumps or clinker is created in some kilns, end castings were designed to handle this problem. Lumps coming out of the kiln can plug or even damage cooler and handling equipment. Our design mounts at the discharge end of the kiln. The design of each system is slightly different for each application and kiln size. See brochure for more information.
Pneumatic conveying systems:
We will support and service all existing equipment / systems provided in the past only.
Metso has offered two types of conveying systems: Air-lift® which is used to convey material vertically and Air-floa®t which conveys material horizontally. The Air-lift® offers efficient flow of product, minimized product contamination, reduced production space, and increased production.
This method lifts material to storage silos or truck loadouts. Air-float® uses diffused air moving through a porous membrane, therefore fluidizing the product. Once fluidized, the material moves frictionless down the inclined conveyor. Because the Air-float® has no moving parts to wear out or deteriorate, there is reduced maintenance and downtime.
Marconaflo® slurry systems:
Many companies have focused on the pumping of slurry material, but Metso has concentrated on the ability to reclaim material by means of slurry. The Marconaflo® system is designed to efficiently and economically pulp either dry or wet solids, converting them to a suitable form for slurry transport. By using a concentrated high intensity water stream to undercut stored solids, the product will collapse into a stream and form a high-density slurry.
The Marconaflo® jet is effective whether the material is deposited dry, as a slurry, unconsolidated overburden, compacted in a tank or basin, or even submerged as a settled mass. Used in a broad range of applications, Marconaflo® Systems have been found to use less labor and power per ton of material moved than conventional handling systems.
