Bale/Slab presses - Hydraulic hoses instead of pipes

Bale/Slab presses - Hydraulic hoses instead of pipes

New hydraulic hoses instead of thick-walled piping

In older presses, the pressure lines from the valve block to the press cylinders consist of thick-walled piping. In newer presses, these have been replaced by hydraulic hoses.

In presses built in the older style, with thick-walled pipes between the valve block and the press cylinder, it is very time-consuming to replace damaged piping. Most often, the pipe must be welded and adjusted in position. To avoid this problem, the newer presses have been equipped with hydraulic hoses instead of pipes with very good results.

Rebuild kit
Metso has put together a complete kit for rebuilding older presses to incorporate the new design. The kit includes all the required conversion blocks, seals, mounting hardware and hydraulic hoses. The hoses are supplied in given lengths and are complete with pressed end fittings.

Installation
This rebuild can be done during a one-day service stop.
