Suction rolls

Complete suction rolls

Metso's suction rolls provide high performance on all types of machines from low-speed pulp drying lines to the latest paper and tissue machines designed for operating speeds in excess of 2,000 m/min (6,560 ft/min). Rolls can be tailormade without size limitations from pilot applications up to record-wide machines. Roll diameters can be chosen freely between 500 mm (19.7 inches) and 2,000 mm (78.7 inches).

Aside from rolls for Metso machinery, we can also offer appropriate spare rolls for a number of other makes. Metso, for example, has access to the drawings for suction rolls made by Beloit, Tampella, KMW, Wartsila, Dominion, Ahlstrom and Carcano. Compatible spare rolls can also be tailormade for competitors' machines. Many of Metso's latest roll technology innovations can be adapted into spare rolls that are compatible with existing rolls. This is an easy way to improve suction roll performance.

Spare suction roll shells

Metso's suction roll shells are made of the highest quality Duplex stainless steel shell blanks manufactured through a plate hot rolling, centrifugal casting, or powder metallurgical process. High-precision gun drilling ensures extremely accurate hole positioning and superior hole surface smoothness.
