At the end of 2011, our previous OHS policy and Environmental policy were combined and replaced by a new Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy that encompasses all the aspects covered by the two previous policies. In addition to our HSE policy, we are also committed to the corresponding statutes of the UN Global Compact initiative, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, as well as the International Chamber of Commerce's (ICC) Business Charter for Sustainable Development.
We take a pre-cautionary approach by applying the requirements defined by our high HSE standards early in the development phase of our products and process solutions. In our own HSE management practices, we comply with ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001 standards. 51% of our relevant operations are covered by ISO 14001 certification and 34% by OHSAS 18001 certification. We also strive to anticipate the development of HSE legislation.
