Sustainability indices

In recent years, the financial world's interest in corporate responsibility has increased significantly. Corporate responsibility indices are used particularly by institutional investors, ethical investment funds and pension funds emphasizing responsibility criteria in their investment decisions.

Research facilities focusing on corporate responsibility compile investment analyses based on corporate responsibility criteria.

In 2011, Metso was included in the following sustainability indices:
FTSE4GOOD Index, Ethibel Sustainability Index, OMX GES Ethical Finland Index, Kempen SNS SRI Universe Index and ECPI Ethical EMU Equity.

We also participate in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). The CDP is a community of 551 institutional investors with USD 71 trillion in managed assets. Over 3,000 organizations in about 60 countries around the world measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions, water management and climate change strategies through the CDP.
