Focusing on what’s critical to your success

Liner replacement is a major maintenance activity for your grinding circuit. A reline can make-or-break your shutdown, either saving you valuable time or costing you production. Metso's in-house Canadian reline team focuses on what’s critical to your success: safety and efficiency, expertise and project management, uptime and reliability.

Mill reline offering

Reline scope

  • Each relining project is tailored according to your specific needs, including factors such as mill type, size, and operational history.
  • The reline team specializes in liner changes, new installations, and decommissioning or dismantling of end-of-life equipment. The work scope can cover full or partial relines.
  • Include additional work like non-destructive testing, repairs, etc., in parallel to the reline without extending downtime.

Reline deliverables

  • A full scope reline includes reline and shutdown planning, and a complete crew offering execution, management, and production ramp-up.
  • Metso can also design and manufacture mill linings that improve grinding performance and reduce your operational and maintenance costs.
  • Any additional work is managed by Metso and offered with the reline as a simplified commercial package.
  • Performance reports are provided with detailed recommendations.

Canadian mine improves mill reline performance

Our customer’s maintenance teams turned to Metso to streamline their reline event, focusing on safety and efficiency. As the OEM of the two AG mills and the liners for the mill’s shell areas, we were able to provide a turn-key solution. Read the full case study here ›

Key highlights:

  • The right wear parts: Metso’s Megaliner™ concept helped reduce downtime with fewer parts and people in the mill.

  • Safe and efficient execution: Our newly formed Canadian reline team, supported by Technical Sales Support and Field Services personnel, planned and executed the relining of an AG mill ahead of schedule with zero safety incidents.

  • Additional maintenance: Alongside the reline, we performed a seal change-out, Visuals and Vitals mill inspection, and wear inspection within the same timeframe, avoiding extended downtime.
