OUTOKUMPU TECHNOLOGY CHANGES ITS NAME TO OUTOTEC ON APRIL 24, 2007

Outokumpu Technology Oyj will change its name to Outotec Oyj on April 24, 2007. The company's trading symbol on the Helsinki Stock Exchange will remain unchanged and is OTE1V.

It also provides us a platform for further growth. Outotec will be representing innovativeness, reliability, and collaborative spirit with customers, which are our current brand values. We will further strengthen our image as a supplier of clean and sustainable technologies," Outokumpu Technology's President & CEO Tapani Järvinen explains.

The new name was approved by the Annual General Meeting of shareholders on April 2, 2007 and the name change will become effective on April 24, 2007 provided that the name is entered in the Trade Register.
