ANNOUNCEMENT UNDER THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKET ACT, CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF A CHANGE IN THE SHAREHOLDING IN OUTOTEC OYJ

In accordance with the Securities Market Act, Chapter 2, Section 10 Outotec Oyj announces that Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Ltd's holding in shares of Outotec Oyj on May 6, 2009 fell below 5%. Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Ltd's holding in shares of Outotec is 2,068,377 shares, which represents 4.92% of the share capital and votes in the company.

The share capital of Outotec consists of 42,000,000 shares and each share is entitled to one vote at the general meeting of shareholders.
