Outotec appoints Pekka Erkkilä new Executive Committee member

Outotec appoints Pekka Erkkilä new Executive Committee member

As part of its plans to launch a new operating structure in spring 2010, Outotec
is appointing Pekka Erkkilä to its Executive Committee.  Mr. Erkkilä will start
at Outotec on May 1, 2010 at the latest.

Pekka Erkkilä, M. Sc. (Eng.), 51, will join Outotec from Outokumpu Group where
he is currently Executive Vice President - General Stainless and Group Executive
Committee member.
