Metso Outotec to buy a building lot for new technology center in Finland
Metso Outotec Corporation’s press release on December 18, 2020, at 10.30 a.m. EET
Metso Outotec’s plan to build a new technology center in Tampere, Finland, took a step forward on Thursday, 17th December, when the Board of Directors of Metso Outotec approved the proposal to buy a 23,4 ha building lot in the Lahdesjärvi area from the City of Tampere.
Using the lot for industrial purposes requires changes in the building plan. The next project step is to apply for a building permit, and once that is in place, a decision on construction can be made. Metso Outotec has hundreds of employees in Tampere, which is one of the main competence hubs for its aggregates business.
