Metso to deliver additional plant equipment to South32’s critical minerals project in USA

Metso has been awarded additional orders for the delivery of crushing, grinding, automation, and pump plant equipment for South32’s greenfield Hermosa project in the Patagonia Mountains in southern Arizona. Part of the order was booked in the Minerals segment’s 2024 third- and fourth-quarter order intake, and the balance is booked in the first quarter of 2025.
Metso’s scope of delivery includes a Nordberg® HP pebble crusher, Vertimill® regrind mills, Courier® on-stream analyzers, PSI® particle size analyzers, LSA and MSA samplers, VF Series vertical froth pumps, MD Series mill discharge pumps, Orion Series slurry pumps, and VS Series sump pumps.
