Andreas Meier-Hedde is based in Oberursel, Germany and is a Senior Product Manager for the technology "Sintering of Iron Ores”. He graduated from the Technical University in Hamburg-Harburg with a Diploma in Industrial Management and Engineering, with a major in Production Technologies and Mechanical Process Engineering. As part of his successful career, he started gaining experience in plant operation in an integrated steel work in Germany and switched sides to plant technology back in 2008. In more than 15 years of experience in the traditional steel industry, he gained valuable insights in plant operation and technology design. At Metso Outotec, he is responsible for the product portfolio of sintering within the Product Group Ferrous.

Robert Schiemann is based in Oberursel, Germany and is a Senior Research & Development Engineer at Metso Outotec. Robert’s key research area is Digital product development, with a keen focus on training simulators and advanced plant automation products. He graduated from Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany in 2015 and holds a master’s degree in Computational, Mechanical and Process Engineering. Robert joined Metso Outotec after graduation from university and has worked in the research and development area ever since.
