ES Series™ horizontal screens

Metso ES Series™ horizontal screens feature two unbalanced shaft lines rotating in opposite directions to generate a high-energy elliptical motion providing a strong stratification of the bed depth and high screening accuracy. This deceptively gearless solution is more efficient than conventional horizontal screens with linear motion, and more reliable than other elliptical motion screens.

ES Series™ horizontal screens are applicable for quarries, gravel pits, mines as well as crushing and screening contractors. They provide high-efficient, reliable, accurate and consistent screening for different kind of conditions and materials.

ES Series™ horizontal screens are commonly utilized to produce end-product fractions. They separate materials with consistency and accuracy, even in damp and sticky conditions.

The high-energy elliptical motion gives up to 25% greater capacity than a conventional screen of the same size.

In difficult screening conditions – such as wet screening or screening of sticky and dirty materials – ES Series™ horizontal screens provide exactly the kind of aggressive screening action you need.

ES Series™ horizontal screens are also recommended screening equipment for wet process, including washing or rinsing purpose.

Durable screen design
ES Series™ horizontal screens’ shaft lines are made of Metso’s Modular Vibrators (Metso MV™) being flange mounted to the side walls and synchronized by a cardan shaft. Each MV™ modular vibrator includes two bearings providing very long bearing life.

The side walls and the cross members are weld free to accommodate the fatigue stress.

Adjustable to increase capacity and performance
ES Series™ horizontal screens can be fitted with either tensioned screening panels or modular snap on panels. The screen angle is adjustable from 0-10° to increase the capacity when needed. Stroke and Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) parameters can be set up within a wide range to meet optimal performance.

The integrated feedbox is very deep and long to allow easy interface with the feed conveyor. Furthermore, the design provides immediate particle distribution over the first panel row of the top deck enabling higher efficiency.

Easy maintenance and safe access
ES Series™ horizontal screens meet the high health and safety standards. The comfortable room between the decks is a strong health and safety feature resulting in safer and faster panel replacement.

ES Series™ horizontal screens are designed to keep downtime and maintenance to a minimum, as there is no mechanical timing device, no gears, no belt and no oil leakage.
