Safe and easy to operate
Lokotrack® LT220GPSTM is typically used as secondary or tertiary crushing plant in a multistage crushing process to produce up to two calibrated end products. In an ideal situation the LT220GPS is combined with the Lokotrack LT106 primary jaw crushing plant to produce 1 to 2 calibrated end-products. This only two-stage process has remarkably lower running costs compared to three stage process, and it is easy to transport to a new crushing site.
LT220GPS is equipped with proven and powerful Nordberg® GP220™ cone crusher. The optimized design of the GP220™ cone crusher castings make it possible to use a higher power rating than any other cone crusher with an equal head diameter. It has a simple but strong two-point supported shaft design that offers mechanical reliability. With a feed acceptance of 204 mm with extra coarse liner, and with the stroke and cavity change features, crusher throughput can be easily adjusted to work in harmony with the primary jaw crusher.
The on-board 4.5 m2 (5.4 yd2) 2-deck screen provides excellent screening efficiency and possibility to produce 1 or 2 calibrated products. The onboard screen is designed so that the LT220GP can be transported in one piece on a low bed truck.
The feed material level sensor along with the Metso IC™ process control system ensures safe and reliable control of the crushing process maintaining the choke feed condition controlling the feeder speed.
The 5 m3 (6,5 yd3) hopper ensures a continuous flow of feed material to the cone crusher. For ensuring the safety of the crusher, a metal detector is installed on the belt feeder. LT220GPS is equipped with water spray system for dust suppression, without a water pump.
Running both crusher and screen with a single CAT® diesel engine of 310 kW (415 hp) power, clearly makes a big difference. The maximum power available for the crusher is achieved by using efficient direct drive power transmission. Paired with the distribution gearbox with wet type multidisc clutch, fuel consumption is substantially decreased and thus reduction in the running costs.
Lokotrack LT220GPS transforms into a very compact package. Weighing only 47 tonnes (105 000 lbs) with side conveyors and screen on board, Lokotrack LT220GPS is easy to transport on most roads and highways.
Metso is investing heavily in its equipment safety and easy maintenance. In Lokotrack® LT220GPS™, safe and easy daily operations are ensured with an extensive platform and easy access to cone crusher maintenance points.
Using durable, optimized parts prolong the lifetime of equipment, but whenever service is required, Nordberg® GP220™ cone crusher can be disassembled from above, and all heavy components can be lifted.
