This process is used together with our Kaldo Process when off-gas contains a high enough amount of selenium to justify its recovery. Our process offers a low maintenance, easy-to-operate solution that meets the most stringent environmental standards.

WET GAS CLEANING & SELENIUM RECOVERY PROCESS

Commonly used with Kaldo or TROF processes for recovering selenium from off-gases, our solution is a combination of different unit processes that are tailored to your specific process needs.

Process gas from the furnace is directed to a Venturi scrubber, which creates small droplets of the solution and captures most of the solid dust particles and gaseous compounds. After the Venturi scrubber, the process gas passes through a wet electrostatic precipitator, followed by two concatenated Venturi fans and an absorption tower, from where the cleaned off-gas is finally vented via a stack.
