The PSI 300i and PSI 500i are market-leading online analyzer systems for mineral slurries with the ability to take samples automatically from up to three process streams. PSI 300i measures particle size in the range of 25–600 µm and PSI 500i measures particle size in the range of 1–1000 µm. The size range can be optimized according to the application. The PSI 300i furthermore measures the density and pH of the samples.
We recommend upgrading older PSI200 installations to the latest industry-leading PSI 300i or PSI 500i models. The upgrade will ensure the best possible Total Cost of Ownership by extending the analyzer life-cycle, maximizing availability with minimum operating costs and optimum process results. The analyzer touchscreen user interface delivers advanced usability and monitoring.
PSI legacy upgrade includes:
The local touchscreen user interface displays equipment status and field analysis results designed for invoking routine maintenance operations.
The PC hosts the control and configuration software for the analyzer. A control application synchronizes the measurements with the sampling control sequence and provides an interface for the measurement and diagnostic data transfer to the plant automation system. Analyzer results and status can also be viewed via networked PCs, for example, in the control room.
We guarantee spare part availability and service agreements which can be included to ensure your peace of mind knowing that your analyzer will operate with maximum availability.
Metso designs new technologies and equipment by keeping always in mind the previous solutions. This enables Metso to provide continuous improvements and risk-free upgrades for existing equipment.
Upgrading the existing PSI 200, PSI 300 and PSI 500 to the latest PSI 300i or PSI 500i can be done in a few days. Existing parameters and assay data are transferred to the new industrial PC where the master data of PSI is stored. Metso professionals will perform the commissioning quickly with minimal downtime of the analyzer.
Basic on-site operation, maintenance and calibration training is included in the PSI legacy upgrade service to ensure the best possible operation of the analyzer with minimal downtime. Should you require advanced training we provide various training courses for on-stream analyzers. Training can be arranged on your premises or in one of our demonstration laboratories for hands-on training with real analyzer and simulation equipment.
The PSI legacy upgrade includes all the necessary components required to upgrade the existing analyzer to the latest technology. These components are included in the compact size analyzer frame which houses the secondary sampling equipment for 1-3 sample lines, sample pre-mixing tank, measurement sensor head, water handling equipment, and optional measurement equipment.
The analyzer frame also contains the electronics and pneumatics cabinet with an integrated industrial panel PC. The local touch screen user interface displays equipment status and field analysis results for invoking routine maintenance operations.
The PC hosts control and configuration software for the analyzer. A control application synchronizes the measurement with the sampling control sequence and provides an interface for measurement and diagnostic data transfer to the plant automation system. The PSI 500i particle size analyzer furthermore includes a dilution water pump and water tank.
